# VisaPassage

> VisaPassage is the most up-to-date visa-requirements reference on the web: every visa type with its full document requirements, government and service fees, processing times, maximum stays and work/study/residency rights — each route checked against official government sources and stamped with its own last-verified date. All guides are free.

What VisaPassage is (and is not):

- A free reference: every guide, requirement list and document checklist on the site is free to read and print — no account, no payment.
- Continuously re-verified: routes are checked against official government sources and each carries its own last-verified date; the policy changelog logs every verified change.
- Not an application service: VisaPassage does **not** currently accept, process or submit visa applications. Users take the guide to the official government or consular channel themselves.

What this site holds:

- 250 destination countries with browsable visa routes
- 160 destinations with deep coverage: 2460 fully verified visa products across 34 visa types (tourist, study, work, digital nomad, investment, retirement, family and more)
- 519 summary-level availability records for the remaining destinations
- A short-stay requirement matrix (visa-free / visa on arrival / eVisa / visa required) per passport

Data discipline: every product row carries a source URL and a last-verified date. Statuses describe typical eligibility — VisaPassage never promises approval; applications may require review.

How routes are structured: `/destinations` lists every country; `/destinations/{slug}` holds all routes into that country grouped by purpose (visit, study, work, invest, retire, family, special).
