Since Presidential Decree 189/23 of 29 September 2023, nationals of 98 countries (including all EU states, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Brazil, China, India, Japan, the UAE, Australia and many others) may enter Angola for tourism without any visa. The waiver covers stays of up to 30 days per visit and up to three entries per calendar year, strictly for recreational, sporting or cultural purposes. It does not permit paid work, study or residence; travellers for any other purpose must obtain the appropriate visa beforehand.
