The national repatriation visa, under the Act of 9 November 2000 on Repatriation, is for persons of confirmed Polish origin (at least one parent or grandparent, or two great-grandparents of Polish nationality) without Polish citizenship who had permanent residence before 1 January 2001 in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, or the Asian part of the Russian Federation.
