The non-resident visa also covers short business and technical visits of up to 90 days for nationals who are not visa-exempt; visa-exempt nationals may conduct business activities under the 90-day exemption without a visa. It suits meetings, negotiations, conferences, installation/maintenance work and similar short technical assignments that do not constitute taking up local employment.
