Tourist Visa
Cambodia Tourist Visa on Arrival (Type T)
We can submit this for you
Nationals of most countries may obtain a Type T tourist visa on arrival at Cambodia's international airports (Phnom Penh, Siem Reap-Angkor, Sihanoukville) and at designated international land and sea border crossings. The fee is USD 30 for tourism, the visa is single-entry, and it permits a stay of up to 30 days, extendable once for a further 30 days at the General Department of Immigration. A small number of nationalities (including Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and Sudan) must arrange a visa in advance and cannot use visa on arrival. Since 1 September 2024 all air arrivals must also complete the free e-Arrival form within 7 days before travel. Visa on arrival is functionally identical to the tourist eVisa in stay and fee; the choice is one of convenience.

Tourist Visa
Cambodia Tourist Visa (Type T) - eVisa
We can submit this for you
The Type T tourist visa is the standard short-stay entry for visitors travelling for tourism, leisure or visiting friends and family. It is issued online through the official Ministry of Foreign Affairs eVisa portal (evisa.gov.kh) as a single-entry visa, valid to enter Cambodia within 3 months of issue and permitting a stay of up to 30 days. From 1 January 2025 the Royal Government reduced the tourist eVisa fee from USD 36 to USD 30. The eVisa is accepted at the main international airports (Phnom Penh, Siem Reap-Angkor, Sihanoukville) and at designated land and sea ports of entry. A 30-day extension is generally available once after entry, but the tourist visa does not convert into a long-stay extension-of-stay category and does not lead to residence; those seeking work, study, business or retirement should use the Type E ordinary visa instead. All air arrivals must additionally submit the free e-Arrival form (arrival.gov.kh) within 7 days before travel. Nationals of most countries may also obtain an equivalent visa on arrival (USD 30) at major entry points.

Cambodia Visa-Free Entry (ASEAN and exempt nationals)
We can submit this for you
Cambodia grants visa-free entry to citizens of fellow ASEAN member states (except Myanmar) for short visits, generally for 14 to 30 days depending on the agreement and nationality. A handful of non-ASEAN countries also enjoy short visa-free stays under bilateral arrangements. Visa-free entry is for tourism, family visits and short business meetings; it does not authorise work or study and does not convert into a long-stay extension. Visa-free visitors who wish to stay longer, work, study, retire or do business must obtain a Type E ordinary visa and convert it to the relevant EB/ER/ES extension in-country. Since 1 September 2024, even visa-exempt travellers arriving by air must submit the free e-Arrival form (arrival.gov.kh) within 7 days before travel. Exact visa-free durations vary by nationality and should be confirmed with a Cambodian mission before travel.

Business Visitor Visa
Cambodia Ordinary / Business Visa (Type E)
We can submit this for you
The Type E ordinary (commonly called 'business') visa is the gateway to all long-stay life in Cambodia. It is single-entry, valid to enter within 3 months of issue, and permits an initial 30-day stay. From 1 January 2025 the ordinary eVisa fee was reduced from USD 42 to USD 35. Unlike the tourist visa, the Type E can be converted in-country into an extension of stay (EOS) under one of several sub-categories - EB (business/employment), ER (retirement), ES (study) or EG (general/job-seeking) - issued for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months and, for most categories, renewable indefinitely. Initial applicants typically show an invitation or guarantee from a registered Cambodian company or organisation (via the CamDX system) or evidence of business purpose. The Type E visa itself does not authorise work: paid employment additionally requires a work permit and foreign employment card from the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training.
Residency: Converts to renewable EB/ER/ES extensions; long residence can support permanent residence/citizenship applications.
Family: Dependants apply for their own Type E / EB extensions.

Business Visitor Visa
Cambodia Business Visitor Entry (Type E - consular)
We can submit this for you
For short business trips - meetings, conferences, negotiations, exploratory visits or being sent by a foreign company - travellers may obtain a Type E ordinary visa from a Cambodian embassy or consulate. It is single-entry, valid to enter within 3 months of issue, and allows an initial 30-day stay, extendable for a further 30 days at the immigration office. The consular fee is USD 35. Embassy guidance lists three typical eligibility bases: an accepted job offer from a Cambodian organisation, an invitation by a registered Cambodian company, or being sent by a company registered abroad for business purposes. Consular processing is generally 7-10 working days. For visits longer than 30 days or to take up work, the same Type E visa is converted in-country into an EB extension (plus a work permit for employment).
Residency: Converts in-country to renewable EB/ER/ES extensions.

Cambodia ES Student Extension of Stay
We can submit this for you
The ES student extension is granted to Type E visa holders enrolled in a registered Cambodian school, university or training institution. It is issued in-country for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, renewable for the duration of the study programme; longer extensions are multiple-entry. Applicants must provide an admission/enrolment letter from a registered institution and evidence of sufficient funds or sponsorship. Children may hold an ES extension as dependants without proof of school enrolment up to age 17; thereafter they must show enrolment or switch to EB. The student extension is intended for study rather than work, though it can be combined with permitted part-time arrangements where a separate work authorisation exists. Initial entry is on a Type E visa (30-day stay) which is then extended in-country to match the academic calendar.
Study: Full-time study at a registered institution permitted.
Residency: Renewable for the study period; graduates typically switch to EB to remain.
Family: Dependent children under 18 may hold ES without enrolment proof.

Self-Employment Visa
Cambodia Self-Employment / Entrepreneur Route (Type E to EB)
We can submit this for you
Foreign nationals starting or running their own business in Cambodia use the same Type E ordinary visa, converted in-country to a renewable EB extension. There is no dedicated standalone entrepreneur visa and no fixed minimum capital requirement at the immigration stage; eligibility rests on registering and operating a genuine business. Self-employed founders typically register a company with the Ministry of Commerce, obtain a tax (patent) registration, and then support their EB extension with company-registration documents. Directors and self-employed owners who actively work in the business must also hold a Ministry of Labour work permit and foreign employment card. EB extensions of 6 or 12 months are renewable indefinitely, allowing entrepreneurs to settle long-term; family members can join on dependent EB extensions. Larger investors seeking a 10-year golden visa should instead consider the Cambodia My 2nd Home (CM2H) programme.

Skilled Work Visa
Cambodia EB Business / Employment Extension of Stay
We can submit this for you
The EB extension of stay is granted to Type E visa holders who work or run a business in Cambodia. It is issued in-country by the General Department of Immigration for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months; the 6- and 12-month extensions are multiple-entry, while the 1- and 3-month options are single-entry. EB extensions are renewable indefinitely, making them the standard route for long-term foreign workers, company directors, investors and their families. From around the second 6- or 12-month renewal the immigration department generally requires a valid work permit and foreign employment card from the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT) for employees. Spouses and dependent children of an EB holder can obtain their own family-based EB extension. Holding an EB visa does not by itself authorise employment - the separate work permit/employment card is what legalises work, and continuous lawful EB residence can support later permanent-residence or citizenship applications.
Work: Work permitted only with a valid MLVT work permit and employment card.
Study: Study allowed; dependants studying full-time may instead use ES.
Family: Spouse and children eligible for family-based EB extensions.

Cambodia EG General / Job-Seeking Extension of Stay
We can submit this for you
The EG (general) extension of stay is a bridging category for Type E visa holders who are in Cambodia looking for work or finalising a job. It is issued for 1 or 3 months only (the 6-month option was withdrawn) and is single-entry. EG is intended as a short transition: once employment is secured, the holder must usually leave and re-enter on a Type E visa to convert to EB, because in-country conversion from EG to another extension category is no longer permitted. It does not authorise employment and is not a long-term residence route. Applicants generally need to show financial means to support themselves during the job search. Because of its limited duration and no-conversion rule, EG is typically used by newcomers during their first months in Cambodia rather than as a settled status.

Golden Visa (Residence by Investment)
Cambodia My 2nd Home (CM2H) Golden Visa
We can submit this for you
Cambodia My 2nd Home (CM2H) is the country's 'golden visa' long-stay programme, approved by the Ministry of Interior on 30 June 2022 and administered by the General Department of Immigration in partnership with the Khmer Home Charity Association. It grants a renewable visa of up to 10 years to foreign investors, allowing them to live in Cambodia and (with the appropriate work permit) work, study or conduct business. The headline qualifying investment is a minimum of USD 100,000, typically in approved Cambodian real estate; some approved projects are cited with lower entry points. Membership benefits include assistance with company registration, bank-account opening and obtaining a work permit. CM2H is presented as the principal structured route toward a Cambodian passport: holders may, subject to additional legal requirements, pursue citizenship after several years of residence. Figures and conditions should be verified directly with the General Department of Immigration as program terms have evolved.
Work: Work and business permitted with the appropriate work permit.
Study: Study permitted.

Residence by Real Estate
Cambodia Property-Investment Long-Stay (CM2H real estate)
We can submit this for you
Property purchase is the most common qualifying route into the Cambodia My 2nd Home (CM2H) golden-visa programme. By investing in a government-approved Cambodian real-estate project - generally a strata-titled condominium unit, since foreigners may own units above the ground floor but not land - an applicant can qualify for the renewable long-stay CM2H visa of up to 10 years. The standard published minimum is USD 100,000, though some approved projects are marketed at lower entry points. The property route is administered through the General Department of Immigration and the Khmer Home Charity Association and carries the same membership benefits (business registration, banking and work-permit assistance) as the broader CM2H program. It is positioned as a settled-residence and eventual citizenship route rather than a short-stay visa. Exact thresholds, approved-project lists and conditions should be confirmed directly with the immigration authority.
Work: Work permitted with a work permit, as under CM2H generally.
Study: Study permitted.

The ER retirement extension is granted to Type E visa holders who are genuinely retired and self-supporting. It is issued in-country for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months and is renewable indefinitely; 6- and 12-month extensions are multiple-entry while the 1- and 3-month options are single-entry. Applicants must generally be 55 years or older and provide proof of retirement (a pension statement or social-security entitlement letter) and sufficient financial means - commonly evidenced by stable income of around USD 1,500 per month and/or bank statements. The ER visa strictly prohibits any employment in Cambodia; a retiree wishing to work must switch to an EB extension and obtain a work permit. ER is one of the most popular long-stay routes for older expatriates because of its low cost, indefinite renewability and minimal in-country obligations.
Study: Personal/leisure study permitted; not for formal enrolment requiring ES.
Residency: Renewable indefinitely; long lawful residence can support permanent-residence applications.
Family: A retired spouse may apply for their own ER; dependants use other extensions.

Family Reunification Visa
Cambodia Family-Based Extension of Stay (dependent EB)
We can submit this for you
Spouses and dependent children of a foreign national holding an EB business/employment extension (or of a Cambodian citizen) can remain in Cambodia on a family-based EB extension of stay. Like the principal EB, it is issued in-country for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, with 6- and 12-month extensions being multiple-entry and renewable indefinitely. The family member first enters on a Type E ordinary visa, then converts in-country, supporting the application with proof of the family relationship (marriage or birth certificate) and the sponsor's valid EB status. Dependent children may hold the family extension without proof of school enrolment up to age 17; older children must show study (ES) or their own work basis (EB). The family EB does not by itself grant a work permit - a dependent who wishes to work must obtain a Ministry of Labour work permit. This is the practical family-reunification route, as Cambodia has no separate consular family-reunification visa.
Study: Dependent children may study; under-18s exempt from enrolment proof.
Residency: Renewable indefinitely alongside the sponsor's EB residence.
Family: Specifically for spouse and dependent children of an EB holder or Cambodian citizen.

Cambodia Khmer Visa (Type K)
We can submit this for you
The Type K (Khmer) visa is for people of Cambodian descent travelling on a foreign passport - either former Cambodian citizens or children born abroad to a Cambodian parent. It is issued free of charge as a multiple-entry visa valid until the passport expires, effectively a lifetime visa tied to the passport, allowing the holder to live in Cambodia much like a citizen. It does not by itself confer Cambodian citizenship, and it is non-transferable (a new visa is required when the passport is renewed). The K visa is obtained from a Cambodian embassy or consulate; applicants prove Cambodian parentage with documents such as a Cambodian parent's passport, Khmer ID, prior K visa or naturalisation certificate. Because it is unlimited in duration and cost-free, the K visa is the simplest long-stay route for the Cambodian diaspora and their children.
Work: Holder may live and work in Cambodia much like a citizen.
Study: Study permitted without restriction.
Residency: Effectively lifetime residence; does not itself grant citizenship but recognises Khmer origin.
Family: Each person of Cambodian descent applies on their own passport; children of a Cambodian parent qualify.

Cambodia Diplomatic / Official Visa (Type A / Type B)
We can submit this for you
Cambodia issues diplomatic (Type A) and official (Type B) visas to foreign government officials, diplomats, and staff of international organisations travelling to Cambodia on official duty, as well as to certain official guests. These are courtesy categories typically issued free of charge through Cambodian embassies and consulates on presentation of a note verbale or official mission letter from the sending government or organisation. They are tied to the official assignment, single-entry on initial issue, and not a route to settlement, study or private employment; holders posted long-term are managed through diplomatic protocol rather than the EB/ER/ES extension system. Family members of accredited officials are accommodated under the same protocol. Applicants should coordinate through their foreign ministry or organisation, which liaises with the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
