The approval letter is valid for 90 days from the date of issue and authorises a stay of up to 28 days from the date of arrival; it is normally issued within a minimum of 3 working days. The fee is USD 50, payable online by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB or Alipay. Holders enter through the international airports at Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay or the Kawthaung land border. Myanmar Visa on Arrival (Tourist)
We can submit this for you
Myanmar offers a visa on arrival at its international airports to nationals of a defined list of countries, with the scheme expanded in recent years to include China and India (2023), Hong Kong (2024) and Japan, South Korea and Macau (2024-2025). The fee is USD 50 and it grants a stay of up to 30 days, primarily for tourism (business and transit have also been served by VOA in practice). The passport must have at least 6 months validity or entry is refused. The visa cannot be extended for tourism and exit must be through an international airport. Applicants complete the VOA form at the airport and provide photographs; this route suits eligible travellers who have not obtained an e-visa in advance.

Business Visitor Visa
Myanmar Multiple-Journey Business Visa
We can submit this for you
The multiple-journey business visa is a consular visa for frequent business travellers, issued by Myanmar embassies and consulates rather than the e-visa portal. It allows repeated entry and stays of up to 70 days per entry without needing to exit after each stay, and extension is possible under immigration rules. Validity tiers are 3 months (USD 200), 6 months (USD 400) and 1 year (USD 600). Eligibility is conditional: applicants for the 3- and 6-month options must first have entered Myanmar at least once on a single-entry business visa, and the 1-year option requires multiple prior business-visa entries. Required documents mirror the single-entry business visa except the air ticket. This is the practical multiple-entry route for recurring business travel; the function is similar to the Multiple Journey Special Re-entry Visa available to long-stay foreigners inside Myanmar.

Business Investor Visa
Myanmar Foreign Investor Visa and Stay Permit (MIC)
We can submit this for you
Foreign investors operating in Myanmar enter on a business or multiple-journey business visa and, once their investment is approved by the Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) under the Myanmar Investment Law 2016 (or endorsed by the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, DICA), obtain a long-term Stay Permit and Foreigner Registration Certificate to remain and run the business. The MIC permit or endorsement supports multiple-entry visas and long-term stay permits for the investor and key foreign staff. There is no single fixed investment threshold for the visa itself; permit requirements depend on the project (MIC permits are required for strategic, capital-intensive or land-using investments). Myanmar does not operate a passive golden visa; this is an active-business route. This is a structured route rather than a single product, and approvals are discretionary, especially given the post-2021 sanctions and political context.

Spouses of Myanmar citizens generally need around 2 years of qualifying residence before applying. The non-refundable initial application fee is USD 500; on approval, annual fees apply (USD 1,000 for a foreign spouse, USD 500 for a former Myanmar national, USD 300 per child aged 7-18).
